About Us
ScreamWorks didn’t start as a business. It started as an idea that stuck.
When I was fifteen, I walked through a haunted attraction for the first time and saw how powerful it could be. Not just scares, but the way an environment, a story, and a crowd could all come together. That experience never left.
Not long after, I built my first small haunted scene. It wasn’t much, but it was the start. Every year after that, it grew. More detail, more people, more effort put into making something others could walk through and enjoy.
After moving to Florida, that passion only got stronger. Each season the haunt got bigger, and so did the response from the community. In 2025, more than 700 people came through. That was the moment it became clear this could be something more than just a hobby.
ScreamWorks Florida is the next step.
Built in Parrish, this is a ground up haunted attraction created with local builders, actors, volunteers, and support from the community that has been there from the beginning.
This first season is about building a strong foundation and creating something people can experience, support, and watch grow over time.
STAY LOUD. STAY LOCAL. STAY SCREAMING.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build something that goes far beyond a haunted attraction. We want ScreamWorks Florida to become a lasting part of the Manatee County community, bringing people together through creativity, teamwork, and a shared passion for building something extraordinary.
We envision a place where teens and adults can discover their talents, learn practical skills, earn community service hours, and find a sense of belonging. Whether it's acting, set construction, prop making, special effects, or technology, we want to create opportunities for people to get involved and grow.
As we become established and financially sustainable, our goal is to expand into educational workshops, scholarships for the arts and technical fields, and partnerships that support local businesses, schools, and farms.
We are starting with a haunted attraction built by our community, for our community. But what we hope to create is something that will benefit people long after the Halloween season ends.
The Experience
Welcome to Site 13, an immersive haunted attraction where you're not just watching the story. You're becoming part of it.
Step inside a mysterious processing facility where every visitor is treated as a candidate. Under the watchful eye of the Foreman, you'll move through a series of unsettling environments, each revealing another piece of the disturbing world of Site 13.
With live scare actors, detailed handmade sets, industrial sound, and carefully designed effects, our goal is to create an intense, personal experience where atmosphere and storytelling matter just as much as the scares.
Built right here in Parrish by members of our community, Site 13 is the beginning of something much bigger. We're here to deliver unforgettable scares while building something Manatee County can be proud to call its own.
The Foreman
Everyone who enters Site 13 is a candidate. And every candidate must be evaluated.
The Foreman oversees the facility's intake and selection process, determining who meets its standards and who falls short.
He doesn't answer questions. He doesn't explain his decisions. And he certainly doesn't care whether you agree with them.
Inside Site 13, you're not a guest. You're another candidate waiting to be processed.
The Foreman will determine your worth. Whether you like the outcome is irrelevant.
Our Foundation
ScreamWorks Florida Inc. is a community-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on a simple belief: creativity brings people together, and everyone deserves an opportunity to be part of something meaningful.
Our haunted attractions are more than entertainment. They are a way to bring local teens and adults together to explore performing arts, set design, prop building, technology, and hands-on creative skills. We want to provide opportunities for people to learn, volunteer, build confidence, and discover talents they may not have known they had.
We're starting small, but our vision is much bigger. As we grow, our goal is to develop educational workshops, create scholarship opportunities in the arts and technical fields, support local businesses, and build lasting community partnerships.
The scares bring people through the door. The community is why we're building it.
